Training and research go hand in hand. It is crucial to bridge the gap between academia, research, and professionals in the field.

Below is a list of previously completed trainings. We add additional trainings frequently, so be sure to check back in. Additionally, we can also provide customized trainings based on the needs of your organization.

Please reach out to me if you have a specific training in mind. Trainings can be anywhere from an hour to a full day course.

Pricing: Pricing varies on needs, travel requirements, and length of training. I typically start at the federal contractor/consultant rate ($81.25 per hour), but please reach out to me for further information on pricing.

  • Description text goes hereBDSM and “rough sex” has been frequently used as an excuse by abusers for sexually assaulting their partner. This presentation will be an in-depth look at the BDSM community, including definitions, safe practices, the role of consent, and general information criminal justice professionals should know. We will also pay special attention to what consensual sexual sadism vs. non-consensual sexual sadism looks like. Examples will be provided. This presentation is suited for law enforcement, prosecutors, criminal justice professionals, or anyone who works with sexual assault survivors or perpetrators.

  • This presentation will be a deep dive into serial killers and how they target women and women presenting populations. The presentation will provide a deep dive into how serial killers are defined and what behavioral traits they may exhibit, specifically psychopathy. We will examine the link between domestic violence and serial killers using data collected and analyzed by the presenter. We will also investigate how serial killers target sex workers and the implications for investigators. The presentation includes case studies and practical tools that criminal justice practitioners can use. This training is geared towards law enforcement, advocates, clinicians, and other criminal justice practitioners. text goes here

  • In recent years, strangulation or erotic choking has become a well-known topic among criminal justice professionals, but also in the public. Porn, popular magazine articles, and other forms of media have popularized the use of strangulation during sex while also sometimes endorsing it’s safety.  We also know that strangulation is commonly utilized in violence against women, whether that be intimate partner violence or stranger sexual assault. This presentation will cover current research on strangulation, offender use of strangulation, lethality, and combating the “rough sex defense” and issues of consent.  

  • This training covers data collection strategies for non-profit organizations, teach why data for non-profits is critical both to funding and improving services, and cover policy recommendations on how to start your data collection and journey analysis.
